How does the $500 Cash for Clunkers trade-in work? +
Buy a qualifying full HVAC system from JC Energy Solutions and we credit $500 off the project total in exchange for hauling your old equipment away. No appraisal, no condition test - if it ran heat or cool any time in the last 5 years it qualifies. Credit applies on the estimate, not as a rebate you have to file later.
What counts as a "clunker"? +
Any residential HVAC equipment 12+ years old, low-SEER (under 14), R-22 ("Freon") refrigerant systems, single-stage furnaces, or any system that has been red-tagged for cracked heat exchangers, refrigerant leaks, or compressor failure. Standalone wall heaters and window AC units do not qualify on their own but we will roll them into the haul-off.
What can I stack with the $500? +
All of these can layer on the same project: free duct cleaning bundled with full system replacements, 0% financing for 12 months via Wisetack, the federal heat pump tax credit (up to $2,000 under IRA Section 25C for qualifying heat pumps), and any utility rebates currently active in the High Desert at install time. We confirm eligible programs in writing on your estimate.
Do I need to remove the old system before the install? +
No. Our install crew handles full removal, refrigerant recovery (EPA 608 certified), disposal, and any code-required clean-up of the old slab or attic platform. Your only job is to clear access for the new equipment to come in.
Is this a real discount or just markup? +
It is a real $500 off the bottom-line project total. Our pricing is published in our cost guides and matches Inland Empire market rate. You can call any other licensed HVAC contractor for a side-by-side quote and check our math. We are not the cheapest contractor in the High Desert and we are not the most expensive - we are the one with 200+ five-star reviews.
How long until I get the new system installed? +
Standard residential changeouts are scheduled within 5-10 business days from estimate sign-off. Full installs are one day on a single-system home, two days on dual-system or attic-rebuild jobs. Emergency situations (no heat in winter, no cool with vulnerable occupants) get same-week priority.
What system brands do you install? +
Carrier, Trane, Goodman, Daikin, and Rheem on the residential side. We are factory-authorized installers, which means full manufacturer warranty registration plus our own 10-year extended labor coverage on installations. We will recommend the best fit for your home, not the highest-margin brand.
