Is ICP the same as Carrier?
Same parent company (Carrier Global), shared core engineering, separate product lines. Think of ICP as Carrier's value brand family. The compressors, heat exchangers, and electronics are often the same parts you'd find in mainline Carrier. The difference is in cabinet finish, sound insulation, branding, and price.
Tempstar vs Heil vs Comfortmaker - what's the difference?
All ICP brands, all the same internal hardware. The brand differences are mostly dealer-channel decisions and minor cosmetic touches. We install whichever brand the manufacturer ships fastest for the model we're pricing. Performance is identical.
Why would I choose ICP over Goodman?
ICP's engineering inherits from Carrier (older, more established residential HVAC R&D lineage). Goodman's inherits from Daikin. Both excellent. ICP tends to be quieter at the premium tier. Goodman tends to be slightly cheaper at the value tier. For value-priced mid-range installs, the choice often comes down to parts availability and lead time at the moment.
Are ICP warranties as good as Carrier?
Yes. Same 10-year parts limited warranty on registered systems. No-Hassle Replacement on select premium ICP models is equivalent to Carrier's top-tier coverage.
Does ICP qualify for SCE rebates?
Yes. ICP premium-tier (Ion Series and equivalents) qualifies for current SCE high-efficiency rebates. We handle paperwork at install.
