Lower-elevation extended cooling season (around 90°F, peak days to low 100s)

Summer afternoons average around 90°F and reach the high 90s to low 100s on peak days, with a cooling season that runs early May through late October. AC systems log more cumulative run hours per year than the foothill IE cities, accelerating capacitor and compressor wear.

Agricultural-history dust loads

South and west Chino still have working dairy preserve land and agricultural fields. Outdoor air carries heavier fine particulate than central IE cities. 1-inch filters load up faster - 4-inch MERV 13 media filter cabinets are the right fit for properties near the preserve.

Older central Chino R-22 systems
