Quick answer

Fontana maintenance: tune-up $89-$159 single-system. Service Agreement $180-$240/year. Closest IE city to our office means highest tune-up scheduling capacity. Cajon Pass-exposed properties benefit from semi-annual coil cleaning add-on ($80-$120/year).

Why this matters in Fontana

Maintenance in Fontana.

Fontana maintenance work spans the housing eras. Hunters Ridge and Coyote Canyon master-planned homes (post-2000) run warranty-compliance maintenance on post-2000 equipment, with multi-zone systems in larger custom builds requiring extra zone-by-zone verification time. Central Fontana along Sierra Ave (1960s-1980s) and South Fontana / Jurupa Hills (1950s-1970s) benefit disproportionately from twice-yearly tune-ups because aging equipment is closer to failure thresholds. Annual fall tune-ups on 15+ year-old furnaces include heat exchanger CO testing — catches cracked heat exchangers before they become CO safety issues or winter emergency calls.

Local challenges

What we see on the ground.

Cajon Pass wind-driven coil fouling is the Fontana-specific maintenance differentiator for north Fontana properties facing the pass. Standard annual coil cleaning leaves heavily exposed coils significantly fouled by mid-summer. Semi-annual cleaning in the service agreement maintains rated efficiency. The 30-minute drive from Hesperia means we can fit Fontana maintenance calls in alongside HD dispatches efficiently — high tune-up scheduling capacity even during peak demand. Multi-zone tune-up in Hunters Ridge custom homes takes longer (90-150 minutes vs 60-90 single-system) and catches damper actuator failures before they cause zone underperformance.

Very kind and proffesional company. Cody came out the first day and gave us a quote. JC scheduled us for the work right away, So we did not have to wait long. Two other companies previously had told us there was no guarantee what they could do would work or even be able to enter our attic but Cody assured us all the issues could be fixed and they would have no problem entering our attic. They arrived on time rolled out drop cloths and plastic, changed our ducts and worked on a few other things all in a day and cleaned up after. We are very pleased and greatful for all the hardwork they did. Our ac is running now better than ever. We are ready for winter and next summer. Highly recommend. Thank you Cody, Tyler, Jon, and Michael.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does HVAC maintenance cost in Fontana?
Tune-up $89-$159 single-system. Service Agreement $180-$240/year covers both visits + priority dispatch + 10% off repairs. Multi-zone Hunters Ridge homes: ~1.5-2x single-system cost.
My Fontana home gets Cajon Pass wind. Should I add coil cleaning to my service plan?
Yes. Wind-driven grit loads up outdoor coils faster than further-south IE cities. Semi-annual coil cleaning maintains rated efficiency through the season. Add-on $80-$120/year.
How often should Fontana HVAC be tuned up?
Twice per year — spring AC, fall furnace. Cajon Pass-exposed properties benefit from semi-annual coil cleaning. Multi-zone systems get full zone-by-zone verification during the tune-up.
My older central Fontana furnace is 20+ years old. Is maintenance worth it?
Especially yes. Annual fall tune-up includes heat exchanger CO testing on 15+ year systems. Cracked heat exchangers on 1990s-era furnaces are non-repairable in 2026 — better caught during a tune-up than during winter heating season.
How often should HVAC be serviced?
Twice a year minimum: spring AC tune-up before summer heat, fall furnace tune-up before cold weather. Heat pumps need both seasons because they run year-round.
How much does a tune-up cost?
Single-system tune-up runs $80-$120. Dual tune-up (AC + furnace) $150-$200. JCE Service Agreement $15/mo or $180/yr — annual heat + cool visit + 10% off repairs.
What is included in a tune-up?
Capacitor reading, contactor inspection, refrigerant pressure, condenser coil clean, drain line clear, filter change, blower amp draw, supply temperature split, full cycle test. Furnace adds combustion analysis, heat exchanger inspection, gas pressure check, ignition test.
