Quick answer

Rancho Cucamonga ductwork pricing: sealing $400-$1,200, full replacement $25-$55 per linear foot. Larger Etiwanda or Alta Loma custom homes (3,000-4,500+ sq ft) typically have 200-300+ linear feet of duct — full replacement $5,000-$15,000+. Multi-zone duct rebalancing $800-$2,500.

Why this matters in Rancho Cucamonga

Ductwork in Rancho Cucamonga.

Rancho Cucamonga ductwork work skews different from older IE cities because the city is dominated by post-1990 construction. Most ductwork issues are not undersized return paths but rather sealing failures at supply boots, multi-zone damper actuator issues, and zone duct rebalancing. Larger Etiwanda and Alta Loma custom homes often have multi-zone HVAC where one zone underperforms because the zone damper is partially failed, the duct branch to that zone is undersized for the cooling load, or the zone control board is misreading the thermostat call. We diagnose multi-zone airflow systematically — pressure check at the air handler, zone-by-zone airflow measurement at registers, damper actuator function test. Older 1970s-1980s Alta Loma custom homes occasionally still have original ducts that need full replacement.

Local challenges

What we see on the ground.

Multi-zone duct rebalancing is the most common Rancho Cucamonga ductwork service. Typically $800-$2,500 depending on zone count and complexity. Long duct runs in larger custom homes can develop static pressure issues that single-zone homes do not have — pressure drops along the length of the run reduce airflow to the farthest zones. We measure static at multiple points along the duct run, not just at the air handler. Foothill bench location means attic temperatures peak slightly cooler than valley homes (130-140°F vs 140-150°F) — duct insulation degrades slightly slower, but R-8 insulated flex still recommended for new install work.

You guys were called out to diagnose a missed diagnosis from another company another company in which said that the unit needed to be replaced because the compressor was bad. Your tech came out and was completely professional and incredibly awesome very polite and knowledge worthy.. Not only was the compressor not bad, but it was just simple wiring that had been messed up your tech fix the wiring issues and all is well. I will definitely be using you in the future and recommending you to anybody who needs heating and air conditioning repairs.

Our A/C went out on Wed 08/31at 2:00am, as you know this has been a tremendous heat wave. I called on Thursday, Joseph came out gave me an estimate, ordered the unit and had it installed on Friday. Joseph's technicians worked quickly and efficiently. In my opinion they went above and beyond to get everything installed, keep in mind this is Labor Day weekend. I can't THANK YOU enough. Pricing and financing was amazing as well.

AC went out Monday. Called JC Energy Solutions and spoke with someone right away. They scheduled me for first thing the next day. The techs were on time, friendly, and professional. They diagnosed and repaired the issue fairly quickly without any problems. Unfortunately, the next day, an identical issue represented itself. Although the issue looked the same, it was a different cause. As someone who’s worked in auto repair, home improvement, and customer service in general, I know these things can happen. What sets JCES apart is how they handle them. They were empathetic and apologetic that there was still an issue. They got one of their top guys to come back out first thing the next day and gave a credit for missing one of the causes. They replaced the part no problem and double checked everything was good to go. If you need responsive, professional, friendly, and great value service, I 10/10 recommend JCES!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does ductwork cost in Rancho Cucamonga?
Sealing only: $400-$1,200. Multi-zone rebalancing: $800-$2,500. Full replacement: $25-$55 per linear foot. Larger Etiwanda or Alta Loma custom homes with 200-300+ linear feet of duct can run $5,000-$15,000+ for full replacement.
My Etiwanda home has multi-zone HVAC and one zone underperforms. Can you fix it?
Yes. Multi-zone underperformance is usually a damper actuator, zone control board, or zone duct sizing issue — not the main system. We diagnose systematically: pressure check at air handler, zone-by-zone airflow at registers, damper actuator function test. You pay for the actual fix.
Do you handle full duct replacement in larger Alta Loma custom homes?
Yes. Older 1970s-1980s Alta Loma custom homes occasionally have original ducts at end-of-life. Replacement runs $5,000-$15,000+ depending on linear footage. R-8 insulated flex on attic runs.
My new Rancho Cucamonga home has duct sealing failures. Can you fix that?
Yes. Supply boot sealing failures are common even on post-1990 homes — vibration over years loosens factory connections. Mastic sealing fixes 20-30% of post-failure air loss. Typically $400-$1,200.
How much does ductwork cost in the High Desert?
Sealing-only jobs run $25-$35 per linear foot. Partial replacement (bad runs only) $35-$45. Full replacement with R-8 insulated flex $45-$55. Average HD home has 100-200 linear ft of duct, so total jobs typically $2,500-$11,000.
How do I know if my ducts need replacing?
Signs include: rooms that never reach setpoint, high summer electric bills, dust accumulation around registers, visible duct sag, and uneven temperatures between rooms. We measure static pressure and inspect with camera to confirm.
Is duct cleaning worth it?
DOE notes that routine duct cleaning rarely improves indoor air quality on its own. Worth it after rodent contamination, post-fire smoke, or major remodels that left construction dust behind. Not a substitute for a clean filter.
